President Muhammadu Buhari has stirred up a storm, after a video emerged on social media, where he was seen singing a Christmas song with his vice, Yemi Osinbajo, and APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
Many have criticised the president for doing so, solely to score more points ahead of the 2019 presidential election.
One of those to criticise Buhari, is former presidential spokesman, Reno Omokri. In a tweet on Christmas day evening, Omokri who enjoys ruffling the feathers of the president said Buhari didn’t sing a Christmas song in the 3 years, that he has been in office but suddenly became a ‘born again’, Christian, who believes in Christmas, few weeks to election.
He wrote:
Muhammadu Buhari believes in Christmas so much that he DID NOT sing Christmas songs in 2015. He DID NOT sing Christmas songs in 2016. He DID NOT sing Christmas songs in 2017. But as elections are here, Buhari became a born again Christian and sang a Christmas Song in 2018 #RenosDarts
